#23 I made it
This was a fun exercise and glad I took the time to learn a few things. I can't really point at one thing I found that I liked best. I already used a few of things learned here and many others I probably will never use again. I seem to have too many things to keep track of now without adding anymore. I would maybe do it again if it where to happen, but takeing the time to finish started to feel like work at the end and I was slowly losing inerest.
#22 Face to Face
I have a face book account and check it out maybe once a week. I think I am just too old for this stuff. It was kind of neat for a while but I get tired of it and would just rather talk to people than write on thier wall. It is interesting to see what some people will say and picture's they post but just takes up too much time for me.
#21 Podcast
I took a look at many of these and found interesting stuff. I am not sure I would use any of them, just seems I like other tools better and spent way too much time trying to find things I searched for with poor results. I guess it depends on what your looking for.
#20 You too can YouTube
I have spent alot of wasted time looking at things on You Tube. Here is one I enjoyed, an online car show.
#19 Discovering web 2.0 tools
The tool I enjoyed the most was cocktail builder. Just enter what you have and it will tell you what drinks you can make with your ingredients. Very neat. I'm guessing this is not something we could use in the library to often.
#18 Web - based apps
I really like this. I have always thought that some day every thing will be done on the web and all you will need is a machine to connect. Sure would save lots of trouble on the pc side of things.
#17 Playing around with wiki's
Added my blog to favorites. This one was nice and easy. This Wiki thing is pretty cool.

#16 Wiki
I really like the idea of a wiki. It's nice to see how people can add information on topics as they see fit. I think the library could use a wiki to give staff information on the day to day activities of interest.
#15 Library 2.0
I liked Rick Anderson's Away from the "iceburgs" perspective the most. With so much information on the web I see people not coming to the old fashion library for information anymore. Like he says libraries no longer have monopoly power on information.
#14 Technorati
Lots of stuff here. I'm not to sure I want to register and make my blog real public even though know it already is. Its ok but I probably won't be back anytime soon.
#13 Del.icio.us
I found this very interesting. Looking at a bookmark of how to's I found a few sights that I remember finding on my own with Google search's. I found myself wasting a lot of time playing here and will be back for more.

Library Thing
Pretty interesting to see how many others pick the same books as you. I like to read books about sports. I did find I was the only one to pick the 67 - 72 Chevy truck assembly manual as one of mine.

Here is a picture of me, my son, and some friends on the river enjoying liquid refresment after a hard day of boating. I am on the far right. This was using Sketch Generator. http://www.dumpr.net/sketch.php

I came across many interesting feeds while searching. The main problem I see is getting the time to read all of this stuff.

Exercise #8
I like the fact that you can get all these news feeds in one place to look at. Sure is easier than going to many different sites to read the same thing.
Oh, to be shiny again.
For exercise #5 I found this while playing around in Flickr. Reminds me of my 67 GMC project. My wife thinks I'm strange because I can tell what year and kind of truck this is by looking at this picture. By the way it is a 1972 GMC. Picture belongs to user punk27fay.

7 1/2 Habits
The easiest habit for me would be using technology to your advantage. I spend lots of time on the internet researching any problem I have. Its amazing how people ever got by before the internet. Any question you may have can be found there. The answers may not always be right but you will find an answer.
The hardest is to begin with the end in mind. I guess I can begin there but the end always seems to change along the way.

About me
I am interested in many things, but I really enjoy playing with my toy's. I like anything with a motor. I own two jet ski's, a pontoon boat, a motorcycle, a Jeep Wrangler, a Chevy van for parts, and a 1967 GMC truck that I am in the process of restoring. Thats my toys. In addition to those I own four other cars that my wife and I and two son's drive daily. My Insurance company just loves me. I have a list of all the cars I have owned in my life and it totals over one hundred. The one that I really miss is a 1955 Chevy truck that I restored by tearing it down to the frame and putting it back togather with a newer drive train, painted it and did everything myself.
My other big interest is computers. I have a room at home that is full of computer stuff. I probably have over 20 computers or at least parts of them. Late at night I can usually be found sitting in my Lazyboy with a laptop on my lap surfing the internet and watching TV.
One other thing I love is sports. I played basketball, football, baseball, and ran track in high school. If there is a ball game on TV anywhere I will watch it, especially Ohio State football or basketball.

The beginning
Thought I better get started on this so I could get the mp3 player and I sure need another laptop.
